Terms of Service

YourHandyBook is an invoicing platform operated from the United Kingdom, accessible at yourhandybook.com. References to "we", "us", or "our" mean YourHandyBook. References to "you" or "your" mean the individual or business using the service.

You must be at least 18 years old to use YourHandyBook. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or over and that the information you provide is accurate. The service is intended for business use — creating invoices for services or goods you provide to clients.

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must not share your account with others or use it for purposes other than your own business.
• You must notify us immediately at support@yourhandybook.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

• Free plan: Available indefinitely with the limitations described on the pricing page (currently 5 invoices/week, 1 template).
• Pro (one-time): A single payment grants lifetime access to Pro features as they exist at the time of purchase, plus any future updates included under the Pro tier.
• Pro Plus (monthly): A recurring subscription billed every 30 days. Cancel any time before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.
• Payments are processed by Paddle. We never store your card details.
• After payment, an activation code is emailed to you within 60 seconds. Codes expire after 72 hours. Email support@yourhandybook.com if yours expires before you use it.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first purchase of any paid plan. To request a refund, email support@yourhandybook.com with your order reference. Refunds are processed within 5 business days.

After 14 days, one-time Pro purchases are non-refundable. Monthly Pro Plus subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and will not renew; no partial-month refunds are issued.

You agree not to use YourHandyBook to:

• Create fraudulent, fictitious, or deliberately misleading invoices
• Impersonate any person or business
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the platform
• Send unsolicited communications (spam) through any sharing feature
• Violate any applicable law or regulation

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

All content on YourHandyBook — including templates, designs, code, and copy — is the property of YourHandyBook and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or distribute it without written permission.

Your invoice content (your business name, client details, line items) remains your property at all times. You grant us a limited licence to store and display it for the purpose of operating the service.

YourHandyBook is provided "as is". We make no guarantees about uninterrupted availability or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by English law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of YourHandyBook at any time. Where a material change affects a paid feature you rely on, we will give at least 30 days' notice and offer a proportional refund if applicable.

You may close your account at any time from Settings → Account. We'll delete your personal data within 30 days of closure.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless you are a consumer in another jurisdiction with mandatory local protections.

We may update these terms occasionally. We'll notify you by email and display a banner on the app for any material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
